Portugal · Algarve Golf
Both are Algarve winter golf, about an hour apart, and both are where northern Europe heads when the weather turns at home. The difference is the trip around them. Monte Rei is inland and quiet, up in the hills behind the coast, with barely a house near it and nothing much to hear. Quinta do Lago South sits in the middle of a large resort near Almancil, flatter and busier, threaded through umbrella pines with water on several holes. Monte Rei is the one to build a quiet week around. Quinta do Lago South is easier to reach and has far more going on around it.
