1. This statement

This statement covers the Birdied website at birdied.app.

2. The standard we aim for

We want every golfer to be able to use Birdied, whatever device or assistive technology they use. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. Birdied does not fully meet that standard yet. The gaps we know about are listed below.

3. What works today

On the journeys we checked:
•
You can reach and use the site's controls with a keyboard. A dialog keeps focus inside it while it is open, Escape closes it, and focus goes back to where you were.
•
Space and Enter both tick a checkbox and flip a switch.
•
Buttons, links and form fields have names a screen reader reads out, and the message that confirms an action is announced.
•
On the Atlas, the Tab key reaches the course pins and the arrow keys move between them.
•
If your device asks for less motion, Birdied keeps movement to a minimum. Members can also turn on Use fewer animations in Profile, under Preferences.
•
You can zoom the page in your browser, and Birdied comes in a light and a dark appearance.

4. Known gaps

•
The Atlas is a picture. A screen reader can reach the courses on it, but not the countries painted on it or the line of a journey. Your Passport lists the same countries and courses as text.
•
The moving map at the top of the home page has no pause button. It stops when you scroll past it or choose a course on it, and it stays still if your device asks for less motion.
•
In the Atlas search, the arrow keys do not move through the results and Enter does not pick one. Press Tab to reach the results.
•
On the home page, the Tab key can land on a course pin the moving map has carried off screen, and focus can drop out of the course list as the journey moves on.
•
On a course page, the message that confirms an action can cover the buttons under it for a few seconds.

5. How we checked

We last reviewed the site on October 22, 2026. We went through the main journeys with a keyboard alone in a desktop browser: signing up, searching the Atlas, opening a course, recording a round, the wishlist and settings. We also read the code behind the site's controls. This was our own review.

6. Tell us about a problem

If something on Birdied is hard to use, or you need something in another form, write to us from the contact page. Members can also use Send feedback in Profile, under Data and help. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will look into it. We aim to answer every message.
