Import
Bring a record you already keep. The file stays on this device - matching looks up course names on the server, and you confirm each course before anything is written.
Open Birdied, choose the file you already keep, and the app reads it on this device. Matching looks up course names on the server so each row can find its page, and you confirm every course before a round is written. Nothing lands on your record until you say so.
Choose a CSV of a list you keep, or another app's export. Files are read on the device.
The raw file never reaches Birdied's servers.
Each course is checked against Birdied's directory. A name that matches one course is ready to confirm. A name that could be two clubs nearby asks you to pick. A name Birdied does not know yet can be left out or requested later. The confirm step is the gate: a re-import of the same file adds nothing twice.
Your record stays yours. Export the courses you have played, and the ones on your wishlist, as a CSV spreadsheet or a GeoJSON map file whenever you like. Import brings a list in; export hands the same record back out.
