Two courses at the same Oregon resort, and since most people play both, it's really about the order. Bandon Dunes is the coastal one, up on the bluff with gorse, ocean holes and a wind that turns up whether or not you're ready for it. Bandon Trails leaves the shoreline almost at once and spends the rest of the round inland through meadow and forest, which makes it the shelter on a rough day and the odd one out on a calm one. Start on the coast while the light is good. Save Trails for the afternoon the wind gets up.
